This Brazilian client is a well-known battery component manufacturer in South America, supplying lithium battery packs to local power-tool and energy-storage companies. With rapid growth in the regional EV market, the client planned to introduce ultrasonic metal welding to improve battery-tab welding quality and production efficiency.
The client had used traditional resistance welding and faced inconsistent weld points, excessive spatter, and electrode-sheet damage. After learning about ultrasonic welding at industry exhibitions, they requested an on-site equipment and production-capability inspection.
A three-person technical team visited the ultrasonic division in Longgang, Shenzhen. The team reviewed technical strength, industry experience, and customer cases, while our engineers explained process-control practices for battery-industry applications.
We demonstrated YN-D206G and YN-X203-Y equipment on multilayer copper and aluminum electrode sheets. Using the client's own samples, shear-force results exceeded expectations, and the client recognized the consistency and stability of the welds.
Both parties signed a purchase letter of intent and a long-term technical cooperation agreement. The initial order includes five YN-D206G units for the client's São Paulo battery-tab welding line, plus one week of installation, commissioning, and operation training.
